PORTLAND, Ore. 08/22/2022 — Eisner Award-winning writer Skottie Young (Middlewest, Twig, The Me You Love In The Dark) and artist Brett Bean (Marvel’s Rocket & Groot) bring back the hit comic I Hate Fairyland for the all-new companion, ongoing series out from Image Comics this November.
Everyone’s favorite green-haired, axe-wielding, crazed maniac returns in this Deadpool meets Alice In Wonderland-style adventure! Gert is all grown up and living in the real world. Times are tough, and the only job she’s qualified for has her trying to find her way back to the place she hates the most…Fairyland.
“If you liked the first 20 issues of I Hate Fairyland, then you’re going to LOVE the new ongoing. I’ve had a few years to build up some brand new things for Gert to hate," said Young in an exclusive on the announcement with io9. "This time around she’s all grown up and as brutal and funny as ever!"
Bean added: "I’ve loved comic books since I was a kid and it’s been a dream come true to reimagine Gert and get to work with Skottie on the new series."
