PORTLAND, Ore. 01/21/2026 — Longtime, critically-acclaimed comic book and video game writer William Harms (two-time BAFTA nominated Mafia III, International Horror Guild Award finalist Impaler) teams up with fan-favorite artist JP Mavinga and colorist Lee Loughridge (Standstill) for the upcoming dystopian thriller, White Sky. The series was exclusively announced at IGN with a first look preview and is set to launch next month from Image Comics.
The debut issue of the series will also feature a variant cover by award winning animation artist Eliza Ivanova (Cars 2, Brave, Inside Out, Coco).
Five years ago, the sky went white and the world ended. Now Violet and her father, David, are driven from hiding and forced to cross what’s left of America toward the shattered ruins of San Francisco, chasing a rumor of refuge. But in a land haunted by the dead, nowhere is safe for the living.
"When we face impossible challenges and incomprehensible monsters, sometimes, the only source of courage we have are the ones who won't abandon us, our loved ones and our family," said Mavinga. "Beyond trying to draw an interesting visual spectacle, for me, every page is just the story of one small family trying to survive."
Harms added: "I’ve always been a fan of ghost stories, so I thought, what if the entire world was haunted? That was the genesis for White Sky, and since then it’s turned into a deeply personal story about a man and his daughter trying to survive in that world.”

White Sky #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, February 18.
