The Week in Images - 8/7 - Part 1

August 8, 2013

We publish a lot of comics here at Image, from fun slice-of-life autobio to hardcore science fiction and almost everything in-between. It's always fun to see significant or impressive panels from our comics, and once a week from here on out, we're going to spotlight a great panel or small series of panels from each of our books. The panels might depict a good joke, a vicious fight scene, or simply something that tickled our fancies. We don't want to spoil the comics for you, so we're going to be very careful about what we select, but mild spoiler warnings apply.

THE ACTIVITY #14 by NATHAN EDMONDSON & MITCH GERADS
A big part of the fun of THE ACTIVITY is seeing the twists and turns that unveil themselves as the story goes on.

ARTIFACTS #30 by RON MARZ, MARCO TURINI & STJEPAN SEJIC
Godlike appeal in a fantastically rendered suit.

BLACKACRE #9 by DUFFY BOUDREAU, WENDELL CAVALCANTI & ANTONIO FABELA
The up-angle evokes a sense of terrifying power while Terrence makes his proposition.

BURN THE ORPHANAGE: BORN TO LOSE #1 (of 3) by DANIEL FREEDMAN & SINA GRACE
Not the best way to start a fight, but when you need to get the job done, it works!

CYBER FORCE #5 by MARC SILVESTRI, MATT HAWKINS, KHOI PHAM & SUNNY GHO
Great, he brought toys! How do you even make that sound?

FATALE #16 by ED BRUBAKER, SEAN PHILLIPS & ELISABETH BREITWEISER
Lovecraftian monsters are great, but sometimes a simple kindness is ominous in and of itself.

INVINCIBLE UNIVERSE #5 by PHIL HESTER, TODD NAUCK & GABE ELTAEB
Invincible Universe always has the best crowded art.

THE LEGEND OF LUTHER STRODE #6 (of 6) by JUSTIN JORDAN & TRADD MOORE
Shortcuts are sometimes necessary for the hero in a hurry.
