If you thought the energy was going to slow down at the end of the year, you had another thing coming. December went out swinging. The final month of 2025 delivered another stacked month for Image Comics. There was something for every kind of reader, from all-out action to darker, character-driven stories that have become monthly must-reads.
Robert Kirkman and Dan Mora continued their critically acclaimed run with the Robots in Disguise in Transformers #27, with readers fully locked in. Then Image Comics co-founder Marc Silvestri returned to one of his most beloved characters in The Darkness #1 with artist Ed Benes, proving there is still plenty of appetite for a fresh take on Jackie Estacado & crew. Exquisite Corpses #8 from James Tynion IV, Pornsak Pichetshote, Adam Gorham, Michael Walsh & Jordie Bellaire continued its tense, unpredictable run, keeping fans guessing with every new issue.
Elsewhere on the list, the Energon Universe stayed dominant with Void Rivals and G.I. Joe both landing multiple spots, while fan-favorite Image ongoings like Spawn, Skinbreaker, Geiger, and Rook: Exodus reminded readers why they love these books. Taken together, December’s Top Ten feels like a victory lap for the year, showcasing exactly why Image Comics continues to thrive with readers.
