IMAGE COMICS TOP 10 COMICS FOR APRIL 2026

It was all gas and no brakes in April for Image Comics. Full of big comic book milestones and massive comic book launches, the month had something for everyone and definitely kept readers talking.

Leading the charge was Todd McFarlane’s SCORCHED #50, the last of THREE SPAWN titles hitting issue 50, concluding a connected story that redefines the war between Heaven and Hell. Also hitting issue #50 this month was Skottie Young's I HATE FAIRYLAND with a celebration of all things Gert, and a tantalizing tease at the next ten years of our cutesy green-haired psycho's adventures.

Meanwhile, the Energon Universe keeps rolling ahead with Robert Kirkman & Ludo Lullabi pushing a major revelation (MEGATRON'S BIG SECRET) in TRANSFORMERS #31 while G.I. JOE #21 brought fans the long-awaited return of Storm Shadow and Scarlett.

New series launches also made a serious impact this month. Lorenzo De Felici’s RED ROOTS #1 immediately caught the attention of readers with its haunting blend of horror and mystery, while CORPSE KNIGHT #1 from Michael Chaves and Matthew Roberts delivered gothic horror with some genuinely unsettling emotional weight.

Then, in INVINCIBLE UNIVERSE: BATTLE BEAST #8, Battle Beast collided with Colossus and Juggernaut for a brawl only Kirkman & Ryan Ottley can deliver. Over in EXQUISITE CORPSES #12, two killers remain to determine who will control the true fate of the country for years to come. But before the loser’s blood runs cold, an offer will be made that changes everything. James Tynion IV Michael Walsh return for the penultimate chapter in the most talked-about horror epic of the modern era!

Add in the chaos and charm of Brett Bean’s D'ORC #3 and the high-octane fantasy/superhero energy of FIREBORN #1, and April ended up being a pure banger.
