Join Eisner nominated, New York Times bestselling comic creator Nick Dragotta for a two-part comic book making workshop for adults in support of San José Public Library's Graphic Novel Making Contest. No matter what your skill level making good comics starts with smart design.
Nick will discuss the craft of comics and all you need to get started telling your own stories. Attendees will leave with a basic knowledge of the comics and look at the different applications of the medium and how they can be applied to the stories you want to tell? Attendees will leave with an assignment to an original eight-page comic. Rules and information about the Graphic Novel Making Contest will be provided during this program.
During the second session, attendees will share their latest creations with the group and get feedback from Nick on their comics with the hopes of polishing an entry for the Graphic Novel Making Contest.
