Steve Blackwell

Steve Blackwell is a lifelong comic fan who was able to parlay that passion into a career working in the medium he loves. A UCONN alumnus, his second job out of school was with Wizard, the legendary comic magazine publisher. For most of the company’s existence he ran the design department that produced a multitude of genre-oriented titles such as Wizard, InQuest, ToyFare and Anime Insider. Blackwell was tasked with overseeing all design needs for the magazines, conventions and other business interests of the company.

After Wizard Blackwell became a freelance art director and designer and produced comics, periodicals, and collections for multiple clients that included DC Comics, Dynamite, Valiant, AWA, Mad Ghost & more. Steve is extremely excited to become an official part of Ghost Machine, working with friends and legendary talent to help bring these projects to life.
