Khai Krumbhaar

Khai Krumbhaar joined the Army just out of high school in a fit of post-9/11 patriotism. Trained as an Arabic linguist, she deployed to Iraq twice: once with 312th Military Intelligence Battalion and again with the 2nd Special Troops Battalion. By a charming quirk of military bureaucracy those were more or less the same units within the 1st Cavalry Division. After 27 collective months of deployment and nearly 12 years of service (including a short stint in the Michigan National Guard) she was medically retired. These days Khai splits her time between editing at The Geekiary, writing, and spending time with her partner, their weirdly precocious tiny humans, and her service dog Fargo. She hangs out on Bluesky (and most other socials) as @DeadlyHausfrau.
