EVERY DAY SHOULD BE A HOLIDAY
It's been a bit since our last update, as everyone at Image gets ready for the impending holiday season.
Not only are we readying our major holiday releases, including such books as Robert Kirkman's INVINCIBLE PRESENTS: ATOM EVE #1 by Benito Cereno & Nate Bellegarde, Phil Noto & Gerry Duggan's INFINITE HORIZON, Steve Niles & Ben Roman's CRYPTICS III, but we're also preparing for the new year. 2008 will start with a bang as we debut the all-new, ongoing YOUNGBLOOD, bring over Craig Rousseau and Todd Dezago's PERHAPANAUTS and conclude Rob Schrab's SCUD THE DISPOSABLE ASSASSIN.
Our friends over at ToyFare put together a top ten list of ultimate presents for your favorite comic fan.
The list really covers the gamut of what's out there, but no less than three items are dedicated to your favorite Image characters.
For starters, Legendary Comic Book Heroes Series 2 follows up the first line of such Image heroes as Madman, Savage Dragon and Superpatriot. This time around the line includes The Darkness, CYBERFORCE's Striker and SAVAGE DRAGON's Star. You'll be able to grab the current series SAVAGE DRAGON toys signed for a very limited time on www.savagedragon.com starting next week.
However, if you're more into statues CS Moore Studios debuts their very first WALKING DEAD statue, featuring Rick chopping down a zombie. Future statues will interconnect, creating a zombie horde unlike any other.
Finally, they put in a good word for THE COMPLETE INVINCIBLE LIBRARY VOL. 1 HC. With the upcoming holiday anticipation I don't foresee our current stock lasting very long and this is one book that will never be reprinted in this format. It's a great find if you can snag it, as it's around eight hundred pages containing the first twenty four issues of INVINCIBLE, plus a massive amount of extras.
I also have more than a few suggestions of my own. If you're celebrating with friends and family, I highly recommend picking up the 1000-piece Elephantmen Puzzle which features a gorgeous illustration featuring by Ladronn. It will certainly keep the family preoccupied for hours on end. Also, if junior has his eyes set on world domination you should grab his very own Mr. Glum Plush Toy (JUN068225), a close to life-size version of SAVAGE DRAGON's most megalomaniacal villain. Finally, don't forget about the first of MuttPop's new line of LUCHA LIBRE designer toys, Red Devil. It's the perfect addition to any home in need of well-dressed luchadores.
